Church Fete It
was cloudy and cool for June but still the crowds came. Presentations were
made to John and Elaine and to Val. Filming of John and Elaine's dramatic
change of lifestyle continued. Hot-dogs and cups of tea were in great
demand. And Barry Palser's Jazz Band played on. The money raised was
£3444, just £14 short of last year's record sum. The money will make a small but
welcome hole in the huge repair bills anticipated by both St Mary's and St
Helen's.
